Learn the rules and the cheap bets
- Blackjack: learn basic strategy, and play 3:2 tables. Our basic strategy guide has the chart.
- Roulette: play single-zero wheels. Systems such as Martingale or Fibonacci change stakes, not the 2.70% edge. See our roulette guide.
- Baccarat: bet Banker or Player and skip the Tie. See our baccarat page.
- Craps: pass line plus odds. Our craps guide explains the bets.
- Poker: house games such as Casino Hold'em have a fixed edge; player-versus-player poker depends on skill. See our poker page.
Live table etiquette
At live tables, the dealer can read the chat. Keep it friendly, place bets inside the betting window and do not argue about results; disputes go to support.
Bankroll and limits
- Keep casino money separate from money for bills and rent.
- Decide your maximum per session and per bet before you sit down.
- Set a win target and a loss limit, and stop at either.
- Treat progressive systems such as Martingale or D'Alembert as ways to vary stakes, not to win.
Our responsible gaming page lists the account limits casinos offer.
Practise first
Free RNG versions of blackjack, roulette and baccarat use the same rules as the real games. Learn there, then start at the table minimum.
